CVMFS (CERN Virtual Machine File System (CVMFS) is the FUSE filesystem that computecanada uses to distribute software. They also allow non-computecanada clusters to use their distributions, and that is exactly what we are doing.
(Already done on systems, if need to redo it):
On avx2 machines, use the settings appropriate for cluster cedar (export CC_CLUSTER=cedar), stdenv/2023, stdenv/2020 are available.
On the avx machines, which are now retired from computecanada, we need to use their old (now deprecated) StdEnv/2016.4 environment. This module will not appear when you do module spider.
